You and Your Family Are Not Alone!
As a rare disease, primary immunodeficiency (PIDD) can unfortunately take years to diagnose. Even when properly diagnosed, patients will often feel alone and overwhelmed – What does it mean to me? What changes do I have to make in my life? How do I manage my treatment needs, including immunoglobulin therapy?
Anyone can tell you about primary immunodeficiency, but only a PIDD patient, family member or caregiver can tell you what it’s like to live with it. At BioRx, we firmly believe that the best education and customer service for PIDD is provided by someone who lives with it every day. That’s why we provide home care support directly from qualified PIDD Consumer Advocates who are members of the PIDD community themselves.
Our Consumer Advocates can:
- Provide education and support regarding primary immunodeficiency….to both the patient and caregiver
- Assist you with navigating the complex healthcare system in order to receive the treatment and support that you need
- Help you order and schedule drug and supply deliveries, maintain in-home inventory, and coordinate nursing support
- Act as a liaison to both local and regional non-profit and consumer support groups
